Description |
Stereographof a building with a small child sitting in the grass in front of the building. Trees and plants surround the building, and another figure sits further back next to the house. There is writing in ink on the bottom right corner. Inscription on the bottom of card reads, "15-Old Reformed Parsonage, Falkner Swamp." Inscription on the back of the card reads, "S. R. Fisher, Stereoscopic and Landscape Photographer Norristown, PA." This house was the birthplace of John Frederic Hartranft, Civil War General and later Governor of Pennsylvania. This card is part of a series entitled the Perkiomen Valley Series. The series begins with P99.27.28A and ends with P99.27.83. |
