Summary |
This book contains the story of the Valley Forge Encampment and has many illustrations, photographs and a fold out map glued to the back cover. The map is 12.5"H x 16"W. There is a preface that mentions a publication of SWP, a table of contents, explanatory endnotes, and ten pages at the end for advertisements. Inside the front cover is a handwritten dedication, in ink: "To Hon. Saml W. Pennypacker, Governor of Pennsylvania with compliments of Jas. W. Nagle July 29, 1905." There is a brown scrap of paper bookmark 2.5" H at p. 69 which starts a chapter and another 3"H at p. 114 which is an ad for a granite monument company in MA. The cover is a golden fabric with the title on the front cover in dark blue. There is a design of a helmet, thirteen stars and two spears in the center of the cover in white and blue. |
