This is two magazine articles, pp.502-523, in United Service Magazine, No. 987, that have been bound. The first page is a table of contents and advertisements pages vii-viii. Chapter VI is Isaac Pennypacker's article which is a discussion of Major Redway's book, "The War of Secession, 1861-1862" and Stonewall Jackson's Valley Campaign. An address of SWP is mentioned in the footnote at the bottom of pp.504-5. Chapter VII is the next article, "The Point of View" by Captain the Earl Percy, Grenadier Guards. It is a rebuttal to Isaac Pennypacker's viewpoint in the previous article. The cover is speckled red and blue cardboard with a blue leather binding. On the spine, in gold lettering, is the title and the name Pennypacker. |
