Ashenfelter, Attorney and Counselor at Law, (U.S. District Attorney). Singleton states that he received Samuel's letter of Jan. 25th with post mark of San Francisco. He also received a bill for the books and hopes they are on their way to him. He tells Samuel to keep the balance of money from this order of books for future purchases. He requests that Samuel send him a list of books, as he did not keep a record. He goes on to say that the judge for the Associate Justice Sup. Court, N. M. has resigned. A John D.
